Chili the Dog

We have a black lab named Chili. She is 12 1/2 years old. And she is deaf. She’s the sweetest and happiest dog though. Last night we went to our local fireworks show and we loaded Chili up in the car with us. She couldn’t hear the booms but she watched the the lights and explosions. We could not stop laughing. She did this a few years ago when we shot fireworks off at our house. My son was 16 at the time and as he shot off the fireworks Chili sat next to me on the porch and watched them go up in air.  She is getting up there in age but she’s the best dog I never asked for. She belonged to my mother and she didn’t want her anymore so we got her and have loved her for the last 10 years. I hope my son will be able to get out to Montana to see her this September. They are best buds. ♥

  1. Sometimes those dogs you never wanted, turn out to be the best fur babies you’ll ever have. I didn’t want a dog when my cousin Sandy passed away, but she ask me to take her and I promised I would. Kalli was part Husky and part Rottweiler, she was just the best dog “I never wanted”. She passed on to the Rainbow Bridge last September, I miss her everyday. I took her ashes and spread part of them on Sandy’s grave, the rest are in a container on my mantle. I loved that dog, and she loved me. Best fur baby ever.

    Love you muchly….. Aunt Dawn
