After a long day of work I wasn’t really into making anything for dinner, so it was leftovers or a sandwich. I’ve never been one for leftovers, maybe it was all the time we spent with my grandparents when I was growing up and my Grandma could make one dinner last for much longer than she should have. The woman was very frugal. Luckily my husband likes leftovers so we don’t waste much. Even though I had some chicken marinating and I should have cooked it tonight it will last until tomorrow when I will make something yummy with it. I instead toasted some locally made sourdough bread and had a turkey sandwich. It was nice to have a quiet evening to spend with my husband. I found myself watching the History Channel and the show about the Cursed Confederate Gold. Not normally my thing but it’s based in Michigan and I love to watch anything that reminds me of home. I promised myself I would blog everyday and today was the hardest day to keep that promise. I didn’t have much creativity and I really didn’t do anything with food but I guess sometimes I don’t always have to have anything important to say, after all this is for me anyway, so whatever I post is keeping my promise to myself and it makes me happy.♥♥♥

Yes Grama always made enough to last a while. Dad loved leftovers, and so along with making two meals in one it served the purpose of Dad loving having it a second time. Oddly enough, unlike you, I love left overs, of course being along anything I make …. lasts a couple of days. I just switch the left overs up so I don’t have to eat it two days in a row. Love you…
